Happy 96th, Granny Lucille!

My wonderful grandmother is turning 96 years old this Tuesday. She is a remarkable Christian woman, who still lives by herself. I have memories of staying at her house and having TV dinners, Bingo on Christmas Eve and she is the biggest fan of my chocolate chip cookies!
Happy Birthday, Granny Lucille!

The country club

The kids and I have spent several days a week at the country club. Oliva has finally taken to swimming - even swimming on her back and a little underwater. Daniel likes to have help jumping in the pool and going back and forth between the baby pool and the "big" pool.
I'll definately miss these times in the fall and winter!

It's Slipping Away...

Our time home, away from school and babysitters, is slowly slipping away... We are trying to squeeze in as much excitement as we can! We've gone to the lake with Cousin Jeannine, Cousin Hadley and his momma Leslie and Uncle Ben, picked gallons of blackberries, and even visited Superman himself! Both kids have grown so much over the summer - does sunshine do that? They enjoy playing in the backyard. Daniel will swing, bat, hit at any type of ball! Olivia will make up songs and climb on the swinset.

A Crafty Girl

Olivia is taking after me...this week we have been crafting! She wanted a new "scrapbook" so we mod-podged a notebook for her. She also helped me decorate a clipboard for school.

Happy 4th of July!

We had a nice 4th of July - we started early on the 2nd with the Calender and Cosby families here at the house. The kids participated in a Children's Patriotic Parade by the riverfront. They got medals and a certificate for their "float". Then we watched the Paducah fireworks from the Blazer with Nanny (Olivia wouldn't even let us put the window down!)

Happy Birthday America!
